In my class today I was told to make a debate with my partner. We argued about religion if religion was good for the society or not. We also talked about how to be a good speaker and a good listener. This was the tips we made:
– good listener
– show respect
– don’t multitask
– Use open-end questions
– Go with the flow
– Reflect questions
– If you don’t know, say that you don’t know
We have the choice to choose between the books “About a Boy” and “The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian” I decided to choose the book “About a Boy” written by Nick Hornby, because I think, that is the book I can relate the most to. I believe the book is going to be very exciting.
The first three chapters were very interesting and exciting. I didn’t understand which situation the boy was in. Also, I didn’t know when the author switched character between the two boys. However, I am exiting to continue reading the book.
My name is Anders and I am studying at Sandvika high school.
The first week of school has been very interesting. We have been taking pictures to the school book. I have got a lot of new friends but I still hang with my old friends. I got my class schedule a few days ago. I have chosen to take IT-class in VG1 so I have 3 hours extra per week, however, in VG3 I have 5 hours more free time so then I can take another class like chemistry.
18 to 19. September my class is having a school trip to Nordmarka. The goal of the school trip is to get to know each other more and to be more comfortable around each other.
In English class the next year I hope we will work on our blog. I hope we do not have so many presentations in front of the class. I look forward to the trip and to work with our blog more in the future.
